This is the biggest freelance site I have done so far. Diverse Marine Solutions approached me and asked if I would re-design their website. They wanted it to offer information about various services as well as being able to purchase their products online. This was a massive project, which required various meetings with the director and managers to establish what they wanted from the site. I wanted the theme of the site so relate directly to ‘marine’, which is why I chose a range of blues and the water effect on the banner. I also included some video on the site to educate the users about Thinsulate Insulation and Water filters. These were originally on a DVD, so I used the edit suite to convert them to an flv format. As well at this I wanted the site to be as accessible as possible so I ensured that I used a pure CSS drop down navigation instead of using JavaScript.
